Our Mission
Enable Restorative Development, a mode of economic activity that returns property,
structures, or objects to an earlier condition, transforms them into a healthier and/or
more functional condition, or replaces an unsalvageable structure without consuming
more land.  Estimates of total worldwide restoration expenditures are $1.75 Trillion per
year with the U.S. estimated at between $400 and $800 Billion per year.  The estimated
total U.S. restoration backlogs: $2.689 Trillion.  For example, EPA estimates $350
Billion backlog of contamination cleanup at U.S. Military bases in the U.S. alone.

Conservation of greenspace, wildlife habitat, agricultural resources, & watersheds:
Each acre of urban brownfields redeveloped saves approximately 4.5 acres of
greenfields.

Improved human and wildlife health: By removing and/or isolating the contamination,
brownfield redevelopments help keep the contamination out of our air, our soil, our
water, and our food.

Urban center revitalization: Redeveloped brownfield sites can yield multi-family
housing, offices, retail, entertainment, and other new assets that bring life to downtown
and tax revenues to the community. Those tax revenues, in turn, can accelerate the
revitalization by funding improved education, police protection, park
maintenance/restoration, restoration of historic public buildings, etc.
